Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen giving his fan an autograph on his own sketch as a video of the same emerged on social media on February 7, Friday. In the video shared on the social media platform of X, the fan had drawn a beautiful sketch of the star Indian cricketer.

Despite his recent struggles across formats, massive fans have come into the stadium to see the veteran batter in action. Rohit's poor run continued in the first of the three ODIs against England as he managed only a couple of runs off seven deliveries, falling to Saqib Mahmood. However, it didn't stop the Men in Blue from going 1-0 up in the series as half-centuries from Shubman Gill (87), Axar Patel (52) and Shreyas Iyer (59) took their side home with four wickets and 74 balls to spare.

At the post-match presentation, the Nagpur-born cricketer massively credited the bowlers for pulling it back after the England openers were blazing away. He stated:

"Pretty happy because we knew we were coming after a long time to this format. We wanted to quickly regroup and understand what is to be done. Didn't start off well with their openers putting pressure on us, but the way we came back was superb. This is a slightly longer format where you have time to come back. When things start to go away from you, it doesn't mean it will keep going away. Credit to the bowlers, everyone chipped in. It was important for us to keep us going, we took wickets at crucial time, the energy on the field was brilliant as well."

England and India will resume their battle in the second ODI on February 9 in Cuttack.
