Renowned Indian sports journalist Vikrant Gupta sat down with Ahmed Shahzad on his YouTube channel to discuss Pakistan cricket's forgettable Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. With Mohammad Amir also joining fellow cricketer Shahzad, he broke into a laugh when the latter said 'Ya win hai, ya learn hai', mocking Mohammad Rizwan.

Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan has mentioned the phrase on multiple occasions, starting likely during a game after the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The keeper-batter has come under massive criticism after overseeing Pakistan's woeful run in the Champions Trophy 2025 as they finished winless and in the bottom of the points table in Group A.

Below is the video of the same:

"We wanted to do well and perform well in front of our nation" - Mohammad Rizwan

With Pakistan's game against Bangladesh on Thursday in Rawalpindi washing out, Rizwan cited the injury to Saim Ayub as a massive factor. However, the 32-year-old stated that he doesn't want to give any excuses for their poor performances and vows to learn from this. He said, as quoted by the ICC:

"We wanted to do well and perform well in front of our nation. The expectations are very high. We didn't perform well and it is disappointing for us. The guy who has been performing for the last few months in Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe… the team was combined and then suddenly when someone is injured, the team will be disturbed. As a captain, you can look forward to that as well. One side you can say that the team is disturbed, but this is no excuse. Yes, Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub were injured, but we will learn from this."
