Lungi Ngidi produced one of the finest deliveries in IPL 2026 on his debut for the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. After a fine T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, the South African continued his good run into the tournament. Facing Nicholas Pooran, Ngidi produced a slower ball masterclass to knock over the hard-hitting West Indian.
In the 9th over, Ngidi bowled a peach to Pooran that had the left-hander playing all around it. The Proteas nailed the slower ball yorker which Pooran did not read at all.
Lungi Ngidi bowled a masterful spell as Delhi Capitals ran through the Lucknow Super Giants in their first game of the IPL 2026. With no Mitchell Starc, Ngidi was given an opportunity to impress and he did so with flying colours.
He eventually finished with figures of 3/27, helping DC bowl Lucknow Super Giants for a below par 141.
