Former Indian cricket stalwarts MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh reunited at a function recently as the video of the same went viral on social media. Fans on social media came up with different observations at the two former Indian cricketers' courteous behaviour with one another despite Harbhajan hinting at a conflict between them during an interaction in December.
During an interview with Cricket Next, Harbhajan said they spoke while playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL but hardly do so off the field and elaborated:
"No, I don't speak to Dhoni. When I was playing at CSK, that's when we spoke, but otherwise, we haven't spoken. It's been 10 years and more. I have no reason; perhaps he does. I don't know what the reasons are. When we were playing in the IPL at CSK, that's when we used to talk, and that, too, was restricted to the ground. After that, he did not come to my room, nor did I go to his."
However, in the video that surfaced on social media, both veterans appeared courteous to one another, with Dhoni even pulling the chair for Harbhajan. However, it appeared a touch awkward Below is the video of the same:
Harbhajan Singh and MS Dhoni were massive pillars behind India's T20 and 50-over World Cup win
Meanwhile, Dhoni and Harbhajan were the nucleus of the Indian sides that lifted the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the 50-over World Cup in 2011. While Dhoni struggled with the bat in the 2007 T20 World Cup edition, he produced a masterclass of 91 off 79 deliveries in the final of 2011 event. The 42-year-old's captaincy was spot on in both the tournaments.
Harbhajan, meanwhile, picked up seven wickets in as many matches in 2007 T20 World Cup and nine scalps in as many matches in 2011 50-over competition.
