Ex-England cricketer Kevin Pietersen took a brutal dig at Manchester United football team amid Team India's meeting with the footballers ahead of the fourth Test at Old Trafford. With Kuldeep Yadav posting a few pictures with Manchester United Ruben Amorim on his official X account, Pietersen wrote, 'Very very very poor football team.'

The entire Indian team, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, was present as had a fun time with the world-class footballers. The Indian team's players were seen trying their hand at football, while Harry Maguire was notably seen batting against fast bowler Mohammed Siraj.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep took to X and wrote:
"Sharing football knowledge with the man who’s redefining the game."
In response, Pietersen wrote:
"very very very poor football team."
The renowned football club notably had one of the poorest seasons as they finished 15th in the 2024-25 Premier League standings with 42 points.
Team India out to level five-Test series at Old Trafford
Meanwhile, the tourists find themselves under considerable pressure ahead of the decisive fourth Test against England in Manchester, beginning on July 23. India are currently 2-1 down in the five-Test series after losing the thrilling third Test at Lord's by 22 runs.
Notably, the Asian Giants are yet to win a Test in Manchester in nine attempts. Their issues are compounded by injuries to Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Reddy has been ruled out of the entire series due to a knee injury. Although Deep has a niggle, he is likely to feature in Manchester.
Arshdeep is also out of the fourth Test but could be fit for the final game.
