Out-of-favour Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has been trolled on the social media platform of X as he predicted Babar Azam to score a hundred against New Zealand in Karachi on Friday but the star batter failed. With users on social media taking a jibe on the right-arm seamer for jinxing Babar, they have repeatedly used the phrase 'King kar lega'.

Although the right-handed batter registered his highest score of the tri-series with 29 to follow his aggregate of 10 and 23, it is still quite underwhelming by his standards. The Lahore-born cricketer chipped one to pace-bowling all-rounder Nathan Smith, who took a simple return catch to land a vital blow for the hosts.

Below is how the netizens have reacted to Hasan Ali's post:
Babar Azam last scored a century in August 2023
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old last got to a three-figure score in August 2023 during the Asia Cup edition against Nepal. Although Babar is still ranked No.1 in the ICC ODI rankings, he has undergone a prolonged slump.
It was Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan, who won the toss in Karachi and opted to bat first. The Men in Green reached the final with a record-breaking run-chase against South Africa, gunning down 353 with six wickets to spare. Despite falling for 91/3 at one stage, Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha staged a stunning comeback to stage a comfortable win.
Pakistan, who are hosting the Champions Trophy, will open their campaign against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
