The T20 Mumbai League is set to make a grand return with its third edition, now rescheduled to take place from June 4 to June 12, 2025, according to reports from The Times of India. This adjustment comes in response to a delay in the Indian Premier League (IPL) schedule, which was paused for a week due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

Matches will be hosted at two prominent venues in the Mumbai area: the Wankhede Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The league stage will feature daily doubleheaders, with Wankhede hosting afternoon and evening matches at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively, while DY Patil Stadium will hold morning and afternoon games at 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM. All knockout matches, including the semifinals on June 10 and the final on June 11, will be played at Wankhede Stadium, with June 13 reserved as a backup date.

With the monsoon expected to arrive later this year, the weather forecast looks favorable for a cricket-filled fortnight. Fans can look forward to an exciting series of matches, with the league promising to deliver thrilling action and uncover the next generation of cricketing stars.

Mumbai Cricket Association Inaugurates Rohit Sharma Stand, Cementing His Legacy At Wankhede Stadium; Video

On May 16, 2025, Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma received a heartfelt tribute as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officially inaugurated the "Rohit Sharma Stand" at Wankhede Stadium. This honor places him among cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar, who also have stands named after them at the iconic venue.

The stand, located on Level 3 of the Divecha Pavilion, was unveiled in a ceremony that also honored former India captain Ajit Wadekar and ex-BCCI president Sharad Pawar with stands named after them. The MCA's decision, ratified during its 86th Annual General Meeting, recognizes the immense contributions of these individuals to Indian cricket.

Rohit Sharma, a native of Mumbai, has had a storied career at Wankhede Stadium, from his early days practicing at Azad Maidan to leading India to significant victories, including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and the Champions Trophy 2025.

The inauguration of the Rohit Sharma Stand not only celebrates his achievements but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring cricketers, symbolizing dedication, perseverance, and the realization of dreams.
