After 43 matches, Big Bash League season 14 has reached at its final stage where the Sydney Thunders will face the Hobart Hurricanes at Bellerive Oval in Hobart on January 27. Hobart will be hosting its first ever Big bash final.
Hobart Hurricanes finished at the top of the league table and earned their spot in the final by defeating the Sixers by 12 runs in the qualifier on January 21.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes made it to the final after beating the Sydney Sixers in the qualifier match. On the other side, Sydney Thunder register a four-wicket win in the challenger match on January 24 against Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Hurricanes are considered favourites for the final, but they can't underestimate the Thunders. The two teams have met twice this season: the first match in Sydney was washed out due to rain, while the Hurricanes secured a convincing six-wicket win in the second match at Bellerive Oval.
Hobart will aim to win their first-ever Big Bash title, while the Thunders are determined to end their six-year trophy drought.
