Delhi Capitals have taken a purported dig at former captain Rishabh Pant. Pant, who left Delhi Capitals to join LSG for a record ₹27 crore. Pant, facing his former team, was dismissed for 7. He was at the non striker's end when a Mitchell Marsh hit a shot straight down the ground, which deflected off Mukesh Kumar.

Rishabh Pant is often adorably referred to as 'Spidey' for his quick reflexes behind the stump. Pant also famously sang the Hindi version of the song on a stump mic which saw him associated with the Marvel superhero. Delhi used it as an opportunity to take a slight dig at their former captain.
Rishabh was dismissed for 7 runs off 9 balls, with the unfortunate run-out making it a short start for the left-hander in IPL 2026. Pant's ₹27 crore move is yet to work out for LSG, with the latest new score adding further pressure on their captain.
Pant endured a horror run in his debut season with LSG, where they finished 7th. He scored just 269 runs, with 118 of those coming in the final league stage game after they were knocked out of the playoff race.
In a bid to reverse his fortunes, Pant moved to the top of the order. The LSG skipper looked to take his time before settling in. However, a run out ended any hopes of putting up a big score.
