Bombay Gymkhana retained the SILA Inter-Club Squash Championship title, held on April 5th and 6th at the Cricket Club of India (CCI), which brought together top squash talent from across seven elite clubs.
The participating clubs included CCI, Bombay Gymkhana, Willingdon Sports Club, Garware Club House, Poona Club, Khar Gymkhana, and Matunga Gymkhana.
The competition featured intense match-ups across a variety of categories including Boys and Girls U15 and U19, Men’s Open, Masters Over 35, 45, and 55, and a fiercely contested Professionals division.
In the semi-finals, Bombay Gymkhana showcased their depth with a 6-3 win over Poona Club, while CCI cruised past Garware Club with a dominant 8-1 scoreline. The third-place playoff saw Poona Club overpower Garware once again, finishing 8-1 to claim the bronze spot.
The grand finale was a repeat of last year’s showdown between Bombay Gymkhana and CCI. And just like in 2024, Bombay Gymkhana proved to be the superior side, clinching the title with a commanding 7-2 victory, marking their second consecutive SILA Interclub Championship win.
The tournament, organized by SportsXL and sponsored by SILA Real Estate Solutions, continues to foster competitive interclub squash and highlight the strength and camaraderie among premier squash clubs in the region. With back-to-back wins, Bombay Gymkhana has firmly established itself as a powerhouse in the interclub squash circuit.
