Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly’s car was involved in a minor road accident on Thursday near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway while he was on his way to Bardhaman. According to reports, the incident occurred when a lorry abruptly braked in front of Ganguly’s convoy while he was travelling to Burdwan for a university event. His Range Rover was moving at a normal speed when the lorry suddenly attempted to cut into the convoy, causing the vehicles to lose control.
In an effort to stabilise the situation, Ganguly’s driver applied the brakes, leading to a chain reaction. The car behind his vehicle bumped into his Range Rover. Fortunately, as the vehicles were not travelling at high speed, no injuries were reported. However, two cars in the convoy sustained minor damage. Ganguly was forced to stop on the expressway for about 10 minutes before continuing his journey once the situation was managed.
