An Indian support staff member copped a blow on his head ahead of the play on day two against Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane. An Australian reporter unveiled the news on X that Nuwan Seneviratne copped the blow as the incident took place during a fielding drill at the Gabba in Brisbane.
According to reporter Tom Morris, Seneviratne was wearing a baseball glove as he either missed the throw or didn't pick it up at all, resulting in a blow to his head. While Seneviratne got to his feet quickly, he needed ice packs on his cheek and jaw to make himself feel better.

Meanwhile, an interrupted attritional morning on day two took place, with only 13.2 overs being possible on day one due to persistent rain. On what was an overcast morning at the Gabba, Aussie openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney survived near misses to go to the pavilion.
