Mumbai: Gaurav Dhamane displayed excellent finishing scoring a goal in each half to inspire Millat FC Colts to a thrilling 2-1 victory against Salcette FC ‘B’ in a Third Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Monday.
The striker Gaurav netted the first goal in the 12th minute to give Millat Colts a slender 1-0 half-time lead. Mangesh Desai scored the equaliser for Salcette in the 32nd minute before Gaurav once again found the target three minutes later to seal the win for Millat Colts.
In another match, Azad Nagar Utsav Samiti blanked Millat FC Youth 2-0. Azad Nagar were lucky to take the lead through and own goal scored by Imran Khan before striker Suraj Mallah scored the second goal to complete the margin of victory.
