Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has admitted that his term at the club is likely to be a short one after failing to turn around the fortunes. The club is currently stranded at 14th place on the points table after a recent 2-0 defeat against Wolves.

According to Goal.com report, Amorim while speaking about his position at the club said, "I know the business that I'm in.The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable. I know that if we don't win, regardless, if they pay the buyout or not, I know that every manager is in danger."

"I like that because that is the job, so I understand the question. You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training (sessions), but we are not winning. That is the reality and I'm quite comfortable with that."

He further added that the transition has been more difficult than expected but he is focused on the job to win matches as quickly as possible. "It’s part of football to have these difficult moments. I already knew that was going to be tough. You expect to win more games, to have players with more confidence to sell the idea and to work and improve things. At this moment it's really hard. We have to survive to have time and then to improve the team."

What's next for Manchester United?

Manchester United will next face an in-form Newcastle United on Monday without two key players. Captain Bruno Fernandes will miss the match following his red card in against Wolves, while midfielder Manuel Ugarte is suspended after accumulating his fifth booking of the season. A victory against Newcastle at home would be crucial for regaining momentum and easing the pressure on the manager
