India on Sunday lost the Border Gavaskar series to Australia 1-3, following a defeat in the final match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Not only the form of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli came under scanner but rumours began to read about Rohit retiring from the longest format of the game following his decision to opt out of the match.
With the Test season done and dusted, India is all set for their next challenge in form of ODI series against England. The series also serve as warm up for the upcoming Champions Trophy tournament.
According to a SportsTak report, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are likely to be part of the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series at home against England, starting on February 6.

Gambhir on Rohit and Virat's future in Test cricket
Accordin gto Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma still have the desire to succeed and will choose their Test futures with the team's best interests in mind.
Speaking to media post Sydney match, Gambhir said, "They are tough people with hunger, they'll decide what is best for Indian cricket. To keep the dressing room happy, I have to be honest and fair to everyone. Rohit Sharma showed accountability at the top"
For the first time in the competition's history, India will not go to the World Test Championship (WTC) final. India will not participate in the Lord's final in June 2025, despite having advanced to the final in 2021 and 2023.
