Kolkata, April 2: Team India cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh got furious over his young teammate Angkrish Raghuvanshi after he gets run out during a crucial run chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday. Raghuvanshi was playing brilliantly before he got run out after a mix up in the middle of the pitch.
Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad set a mammoth target of 226/8 in their first 20 overs which is the highest total in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chasing the target, KKR lost their explosive opener Fin Allen early in the second over after he scored 25 in the first over of the run chase.
After his dismissal, Raghuvanshi walked on to the crease and batted brilliantly and kept KKR in the game. He went on to score 52 runs off 29 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. However, it was unfortunate the way he got out. There was a confusion between Rinku and Angkrish and Angkrish was caught on the middle of the pitch as the throw came to his end and he got out.
As he got run out, Rinku Singh got furious over him and scolded him in the middle of the pitch for his careless attitude while running between the wickets. He was saved earlier in the inning as Cameron Green fell prey to a run out after the same confusion between the two.
KKR is now struggling in the run chase as Rinku Singh also got out after scoring 35 runs from 25 balls. KKR now need 88 runs off just 38 balls with four wickets in hand which seems to be very tough as Narine and Ramandeep are still present at the crease.
