The new season of European club football kicks off with UEFA Super Cup match between UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint Germain and Europa League Champions Tottenham Hotspurs
Luis Enrique’s PSG, who claimed their first UCL title and a historic treble, fell short in the FIFA Club World Cup final losing to Chelsea. The team will be without the services of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaruma who decided to leave the club after been excluded from the squad for the Super Cup.
Tottenham ended its long trophy drought by defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final under Ange Postecoglou, who was later replaced by Thomas Frank despite the triumph.
