The 21-year-old, along with Ibrahim Zadran, set the tone for the memorable victory by stitching a partnership of 130. It was also their 4th century-stand this year, equaling Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.

In a post shared by Gurbaz on Instagram, he wrote the below:

"A gift from Babar Azam. The spirit of cricket alive and well 🤝Swipe to watch the Pakistan skipper gifting a bat to Rahmanullah Gurbaz."

Pakistan captain Babar Azam made his 2nd half-century of the World Cup, striking a vital 74, with Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed also hitting some lusty blows to take their side to 282. Contrary to the expectations, Pakistan's spinners couldn't outperform their counterparts.

Both Usama Mir and Shadab Khan went wicketless as Afghanistan cantered to an easy victory eventually, proving to be a landmark moment in their history.
