Mumbai: Strikers Nelson Pereira and Daryush Kapadia, both registered hat-tricks in winning performances for their respective schools in a boy’s under-16 Div-II league matches of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association MSSA Inter-School Football Tournament – 2014. Nelson’s superb effort was the feature as St. Xavier’s, Bandup romped to an emphatic 7-0 win over Dhirubhai Ambani in a Group-D encounter played at the MSSA Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan on Tuesday.
The Bhandup schoolboys got the other goals through a brace from Gaurang Chauhan and one each from Shon Menezes and Darryl D’Silva. Meanwhile, Daryush hammered home all the four goals which powered Cathedral & John Connon, Fort to a 4-0 victory against St. Theresa’s, Bandra in a Group-B match, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
