The Kanga Cricket League returns with the tournament set to be played between July 20 to July 26 at various venues in Mumbai. The historic cricket competition which was Inaugurated in 1948, is named after Hormasji Kanga, a first-class cricketer and former selector for the Indian national team.

The Kanga League is unique because it is played during Mumbai's monsoon season. This period brings unpredictable weather and makes the cricket grounds wet and challenging.

The conditions mean the ball can behave unpredictably, stopping, shooting, skidding, and swinging in a single day's play. As a result, even scoring 30 or 50 runs is considered an achievement.

The Kanga League features 98 teams divided into seven groups, each consisting of 14 teams. The league's challenging conditions have produced some of India's finest cricketers.
