Australia wrapped up a commanding 3-0 series sweep in the Frank Worrell Trophy with a dominant performance in the pink ball test at Kingston. The Aussies skittled West Indies for just 27 runs, the second-lowest total in the history of Test cricket.

Mitchell Starc wrecks mayhem in his historic Test

Playing his 100th Test, Mitchell Starc claimed five wickets in just 15 deliveries to register the fastest fifer in Test cricket. Starc made an immediate impact, dismissing opener John Campbell with the very first ball of the innings. He followed it up with two more scalps Kevlon Anderson and Brandon King in the same over to complete a rare triple-wicket maiden.

In his third over, Starc produced a trademark in-swinger to trap Mikyle Louis and bring up his 400th Test wicket, becoming only the sixth Australian to reach the milestone. He joined the legendary ranks of Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, and current teammate Nathan Lyon. Starc's rampage continued as he dismissed Shai Hope soon after, clinching his 15th five-wicket haul in Tests. Starc fittingly returned to close out the innings, removing Jayden Seales and finishing with astonishing figures of 6 for 9.

Scott Boland Bags Hat-Trick

While Starc did miss out on a hat-trick, his new-ball partner Scott Boland stepped up to deliver one. He ripped through the lower order, claiming the wickets of Justin Greaves, Shamar Joseph, and Jomel Warrican in successive deliveries to register the 10th Test hat-trick by an Australian.

It took Australia just 87 balls (14.3 overs) to complete the demolition, sealing a 176-run win in the final match of the series.

West Indies Record Lowest-Ever Test Total

The West Indies’ innings ended at a mere 27 runs, making it their lowest total in Test history. It now stands as the second-lowest score in Test cricket, narrowly surpassing New Zealand’s infamous 26 against England in Auckland in 1955. A single run from a misfield in the 14th over, conceded by 19-year-old debutant Sam Konstas, spared the West Indies from matching that record.
