Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is all set to represent Mumbai in the upcoming 2025–26 domestic cricket season after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) accepted his request to withdraw his No-Objection Certificate (NOC) application. The development, reported by The Indian Express, ends speculation about a possible transfer to another state side, particularly Goa.
The 23-year-old left-handed batter had initially applied for an NOC earlier this year, with reports suggesting he was contemplating a move to Goa. However, in May 2025, Jaiswal emailed the MCA requesting to revoke the application.
“I the undersigned would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa which for now has been curtailed! So I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season! I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to Goa Cricket Association,” Jaiswal wrote in the email.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik confirmed the development, stating, “We have accepted Jaiswal’s withdrawal of NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai during forthcoming domestic season.”
With this decision, Jaiswal reaffirms his commitment to his home team, putting an end to the transfer chatter and setting sights on another impactful season in domestic cricket.
