Maharashtra State TT: Top Seeds Raegan Albuquerque, Shweta Parte Storm Into Semifinals

Top seed Raegan Albuquerque displayed that he meant business as he overpowered Siddesh Sawant 3-0 to storm into the semi-finals of the men’s singles section of the Maharashtra State Prize-Money Table Tennis tournament 2025-2026, which is being played at the Khar Gymkhana. This tournament is being organised under the auspices of the MSTTA (Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association).

Raegan, representing TSTTA, improved as the match progressed and won 11-8, 11-7, and 11-1 against his Thane opponent in a one-sided encounter that showcased Raegan's aggressiveness.

In a similar fashion, second seed Shounak Shinde (Pune) packed too many guns for Ayush Sonwane (TSTTA), winning 3-0 via a 15-13, 11-6, 11-8 verdict.

In the women's quarter-finals, top seed Shweta Parte Nayak (Mum City) was a distinct class ahead of Spenta Umrigar (Mum City)) blanking her 3-0. Shweta was in control for the majority of the match and emerged victorious, 15-13, 11-6, 11-8.
