Maharashtra State TT: Param Bhiwandkar and Sara Jamsutkar Emerge U-15 Champions

Raghav Mahajan and Jinaya Vadhan win U-13 titles; Yuvaan Walia and Aadya Baheti claim U-11 titles

Param Bhiwandkar (TSTTA) and Sara Jamsutkar (Mumbai City) emerged champions, by winning the boys’ and girls’ under-15 singles crowns respectively in the Maharashtra State Prize-Money Table Tennis tournament 2025-2026, played at the Khar Gymkhana. This tournament is being organised under the auspices of the MSTTA (Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association).

In the boys’ final, the TSTTA youngster Param posted a comfortable 3-0 win against his compatriot Ahan Gosar (TSTTA), coasting to an easy 11-8, 11-5, and 13-11 victory.

In the corresponding girls’ summit clash, the Mumbai City paddler Sara showed solid fighting qualities as she rallied from the loss of the first game to overcome Thane’s challenger Saisha Madhur (Thane) by recording a 3-1 (3-11, 11-9, 11-5, and 11-5) victory to emerge victorious.

The sterling fighting qualities of Jinaya Vadhan (Thane) came to the fore as she rallied to get the better of Palakh Jhawar (TSTTA) 3-2 for the girls’ under-13 singles crown.

In a closely fought match, Jinaya took the first game but then dropped the next two before regaining her composure to win the next two for the title. The scores read 11-7, 10-12, 9-11, 11-7, and 11-7 in Jinaya's favour.

Raghav Mahajan (TSTTA) had things much his way whilst blanking Ayaan Athar (TSTTA) 3-0 for the boys under-13 boys singles pennant. Raghav won 11-5, 11-5, and 11-9.

Yuvaan Walia (Mum City) overcame Adhiraj Chauhan (Thane) 3-1 for the boys under-11 singles title registering a 11-6, 11-7, 12-14, 11-5 verdict.

The girls under-11 singles was claimed by Aadya Baheti (Parbhani)who rode roughshod over Swara Gudekar (Mum City) whilst blanking her 3-0. The scores in the Parbhani's lass' favour read 11-5, 11-4, and 11-7.

Results (all finals): Girls’ U-11 singles: Aadya Baheti (Prabhani) bt Swara Gudekar (Mum City) 3-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-7).

Boys’ U-11 singles: Yuvaan Walia (Mum City) bt Adhiraj Chauhan (Thane) 3-1 (11-6, 11-7, 12-14, 11-5).

Girls’ U-13 singles: Jinaya Vadhan (Thane) bt Palakh Jhawar (TSTTA) 3-2 (11-7, 10-12, 9-11, 11-7, 11-7).

Boys’ U-13 singles: Raghav Mahajan (TSTTA) bt Ayaan Athar (TSTTA 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-9).

Girls’ U-15 singles: Sara Jamsutkar (Mum City) bt Saisha Madhur (Thane) 3-1 (3-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-5).

Boys’ U-15 singles: Param Bhiwandkar (TSTTA) bt Ahan Gosar (TSTTA) 3-1 (11-8, 11-5, 13-11).
