Luis Diaz has officially joined Bayern Munich in a permanent transfer from Liverpool, bringing an end to his successful stint at Anfield. According to BBC sports report, the deal is valued at around the region of £65.5 million (Approx ₹76 crores), including performance-related add-ons.

As per the report, Liverpool initially rejected Bayern’s first offer, believed to be in the region of £58.5m but the Bundesliga giants returned with an improved proposal, which met the Reds' valuation. Liverpool sanctioned the move after Diaz only after his representatives expressed a strong desire to make the switch. The Colombian winger had earlier signalled his wish to leave back in the summer of 2024

Diaz arrived at Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022 for a guaranteed £37.5m, signing a five-and-a-half-year deal. He made an immediate impact under Jurgen Klopp, showcasing his explosive pace, creativity, and versatility in attacking roles.
His debut half-season saw him help Liverpool push for an unprecedented quadruple, ultimately lifting two domestic cups and finishing as runners-up in both the Premier League and Champions League.
A serious knee injury early in the 2022–23 season derailed Diaz’s momentum, limiting him to just 21 appearances that campaign. However, following his return, he gradually regained form and was handed the iconic No.7 shirt in the summer of 2023.
