Mumbai: Kishan Gangolli (KAR) and Darpan Inani (GUJ) jointly lead with 5 points each after the completion of six rounds in the 13 player Round Robin National A Chess Championship for the blind, being held here at the Ganapat Rao Vartak Krida Bhavan,Vasai,. Sirish Patil (MAH), who had a bye in the 6th round, follows the leaders with 4.5 points from 5 rounds.

On the 1st board Darpan Inani (GUJ) with white pieces played the King’s pawn opening against Yudhajeet De (WB). Yudhajeet went wrong early in his Sicilian Defense letting white space advantage which the World Bronze medalist Darpan deftly exploited to earn full point.
