A heated altercation triggered between fans at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati during the IPL 2025 game between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. A video of the same surfaced on social media as the fans were cussing at one another and beating one another.
The night had already been eventful as a fan had interrupted the proceedings by storming onto the field, falling on Royals skipper Riyan Parag's feet before being dragged away by the authorities. Moreover, a fan was held by the authorities as he tried to cross the fence as Knight Riders' co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was taking a parade.

Rajasthan Royals slump to their second defeat
Meanwhile, the Royals, who were playing their home game in Guwahati, slumped to an eight-wicket defeat on Wednesday. It was Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane, who had won the toss and opted to bowl first witnessed a terrific job done by the spinners as they restricted the Royals to 151/9. The Royals' batting unit hardly got going as Dhruv Jurel top-scored with 33.
Their bowling unit equally struggled as Quinton de Kock took the game away despite two earlier wickets. The South African keeper-batter finished the game off with two sixes and a four in the 18th over of the innings as the defending champions crossed the finish line easily.
De Kock also earned the Player of the Match award for his 61-ball 97.
