Lucknow Super Giants' Nicholas Pooran made what could prove to be a costly mistake as he gave SunRisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head a lifeline on 36 in the IPL 2025 game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The West Indian cricketer had got into proper position to take the catch but it spilled out of his hands, leaving Kavya Maran joyous.
The incident occurred as Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant introduced leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the final over of the powerplay. With Bishnoi throwing the ball wide, the South Australian went for the slog but had sliced it. Pooran came running in from long-on and tried to catch it but could not hold on.
Head was eventually dismissed for 47 but he had scored a few more boundaries before Prince Yadav got the better of him.
