Renowned Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam's Instagram photo has been flooded with hate comments as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans have mistaken him for Vipraj Nigam, who dismissed Virat Kohli in the IPL 2025 game on Thursday. The leg-spinner dismissed Kohli for 22 to dent the home side massively as it sent the fans into stunned silence.
The dismissal occurred in the 7th over of the innings as the former Royal Challengers' captain played an inside-out shot but didn't get to the pitch of the ball and skewed it to long-off. Mitchell Starc ran in and took a fantastic catch sliding forward, sending Kohli packing for 22.
The 36-year-old was also involved in the unfortunate run-out of Phil Salt, who departed for a breezy 37 off 17 deliveries.
