SunRisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran couldn't stop smiling and clapping as opening batter Travis Head has been on fire against the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 clash on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. A video of the same surfaced on social media as Head smacked a 105-meter six.
The incident occurred in the fifth over of the innings as Riyan Parag brought on Jofra Archer, who had fetched ₹12.50 crore in the auction, for his first over. Head got a juicy short-pitched delivery and the left-handed batter latched on to it to send it way over the on-side fence. The camera panned on to Maran and she was all smiles.
The first over sent down by Archer went for 23 runs overall. It was the Sri Lankan off-spinner Maheesha Theekshana, who delivered the first breakthrough for their side by dismissing Abhishek Sharma for 24 off 11 balls in the fourth over. Head was eventually dismissed for 67 off only 30 balls by right-arm pacer Tushar Deshpande.
