England batter Harry Brook survived a close call in the final over of day two of the second Test against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The right-handed batter intervened with his shoulder to prevent the ball from hitting the stumps, thereby surviving through to stumps to resume his innings on day three. The moment occurred in the 20th over of the innings sent down by Prasidh Krishna. The ball from the right-arm speedster seamed in and the Yorkshire batter almost chopped onto the stumps. However, he used his presence of mind to shoulder it away. At the same time, the youngster was inches away from falling onto the stumps.
Akash Deep makes back-to-back strikes to dent England:
