Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir has reportedly received a death threat via email from 'ISIS Kashmir'. As per India Today report, the email contained just three chilling words: "I kill you." According to ANI, following the threat, Gambhir filed a police complaint, prompting authorities to launch an investigation. The cyber cell is currently working to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender.

The news comes two day after she posted a message on Twitter over the Pehalgam terror attack. He had written, "Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will pay. India will strike"

The former India cricketer recently returned with his family from a holiday in France after leading Team India to Champions Trophy success before the IPL 2025 began.

Gautam Gambhir’s Rollercoaster Ride as India Coach

Gautam Gambhir’s stint as head coach of the Indian cricket team has been nothing short of a dramatic journey marked by early setbacks, intense scrutiny, and a glorious turnaround on the big stage.Taking charge with high expectations, Gambhir faced a stormy start. India stumbled in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and then suffered a crushing 0-3 whitewash in the Test series at home against New Zealand.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a symbol of India’s dominance over Australia for nearly a decade, slipped away after a 1-3 series loss. The defeat was painful, but what stirred even more controversy was the off-field drama. Dressing room conversations and strategic discussions began surfacing in the media, sparking a nationwide debate about the team's unity and raising concerns about breaches of trust within the camp.

However, Gambhir and Team India turned the narrative around spectacularly. The turning point came at the ICC Champions Trophy, where India found its rhythm and delivered a flawless campaign. From start to finish, the Men in Blue remained unbeaten, culminating in a clinical win over New Zealand in the final. The title marked India’s second ICC trophy in just nine months and gave Gambhir the validation he needed.
