After leading India to a historic victory at Edgbaston, skipper Shubman Gill delivered a sharp and witty remark that added extra flavor to the moment. At the post-match press conference, following India’s thumping 336-run win over England, Gill addressed a pointed question he had been asked before the match about India’s poor Test record at Edgbaston.

With a smile, Gill said, “I can’t see my favourite journalist. Where is he? I actually wanted to see him,” referencing the reporter who had questioned India’s history at the venue during the pre-match media interaction.

Before this Test, India had never won a match at Edgbaston, losing seven and drawing one in eight previous attempts. The venue was widely regarded as a fortress for England, particularly against India. However, Gill’s team delivered a dominant all-round performance to break the jinx in style, claiming a massive 336-run win and leveling the series.

Gill’s playful comment highlighted both his confidence and sense of humour, turning a pre-match doubt into post-match celebration. The victory wasn’t just about ending a winless streak it was about rewriting history with authority.

WI Vs AUS, 2nd Test: Unusual Scene Interrupts Play As Dog Invades Pitch, Drone Chases It Away; Video

A funny moment took place during the second Test between West Indies and Australia in Grenada when a black dog ran onto the field. The game had to be stopped as Australian players Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood tried to catch the dog but failed.

In an unusual move, the broadcasters used a drone to gently chase the dog off the field. The crowd laughed and cheered during the lighthearted delay.

Interestingly, the break helped West Indies’ batters Brandon King and Shai Hope build a key 58-run partnership. Once the match resumed, Australia regained control, ending Day 3 at 221/7 with Steve Smith unbeaten on 71 and a 254-run lead.

The dog’s unexpected appearance turned into the most talked-about moment of the day, adding a fun twist to the serious Test match action.
