Top seeds Mangirish Palekar and Vikrant Patwardhan overcame a tough challenge in the first game before running away with the second to end up 22-20, 21-11 winners against Mitesh Arora and Vikas Shetty and enter the Men's Doubles 45 final in the G D Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, co-hosted by Bombay Gymkhana and promoted by Badminton Gurukul, here, on Saturday.

In the final, they will take on Gautam Laud and Sandeep Mohan, who upset the second seeds Ayaz Bilawala and Shailesh Daga 21-17, 21-17. Palekar also made the 85+ doubles finals, keeping himself in line for a double.

Also entering two title rounds was Manoj Nachanekar, the top seed among the professionals. In the singles, Nachanekar beat Premal Mankar 21-16, 21-16 to set up a clash with second seed Chetan Bhandarkar, who was taken the distance by Akshay Kanchawade before winning 21-19, 19-21, 21-12.

Nachanekar also made the professional doubles final along with Rahul Bhuvad and will take on Kalpesh Padekar and Sanjay Golbare, who upset the second seeds Pranit Bane and Premal Mankar 21-17, 21-17.
