Mumbai: Fr. Agnel Red and Bodyline FC, both scored big wins in their opening Group-A league matches of the Women’s football league, organised by the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) and played at the Karnatak Sporting Association ground, Cross Maidan on Monday.

The formidable Fr. Agnel drubbed Companeroes 7-0 with Hiba Faquih netting a brace, while Nikita Shende, Laura Estubeiro, Karishma Vajirani, Mrudul Shinde and Grace Rodrigues all scoring one each to complete the margin of victory.

Earlier, Bodyline riding on Ankita Sapre’s twin strikes blanked Magic Bus 3-0. Rita Ukachukwu got the third goal for the winners.In the first match of the day, Kenkre FC and S.,P. Academy played out a goalless draw.Results: Bodyline FC 3 (Rita Ukachukwu 2nd min, Ankita Sapre 28th & 36th) beat Magic Bus 0; Kenkre FC 0 drew with S.P. Academy 0; Fr. Agnel, Red 7 (Hiba Faquih 2, Nikita Shende, Grace Rodrigues, Laura Estubeiro, Karishma Vajirani, Mrudul Shinde) beat Companeroes 0.
