Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal’s goat was reportedly stolen from outside his house in Lahore, the cricketer's father, Mohammed revealed.

According to a report in a Pakistani portal, The News, the family had purchased six goats for qurbani a day ago and had tied them outside their private housing society.

The incident took place at 3am when their servant, who was tasked to look after the animal, fell asleep during the night.

“The thieves have taken away the best of them which was bought at the price of Rs 90,000,” he lamented.

The management of the housing society’s security has been informed and they have assured the family they will try their best to apprehend the thieves and recover the goat.
