Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal roared in ecstasy after a stunning hundred on day one of the first Test against England at the Headingley, Leeds. The left-handed batter couldn't contain his delight as he took a giant leap and became the first Indian opener to score a ton at the storied venue.
The moment occurred in the 49th over of the innings sent down by Brydon Carse, who conceded a boundary off the very first ball. The southpaw slammed boundaries in fourth and fifth deliveries of the over as well, followed by tapping one to the off side for a single. After getting out to the other end successfully, the 23-year-old took his helmet off and took a leap to celebrate.

However, Jaiswal's wicket was claimed by Ben Stokes for 101 in the very first over he sent down after tea.

Meanwhile, the toss at the Headingley went in favour of England and Ben Stokes opted to field first. Visiting captain Shubman Gill announced a debut for B Sai Sudharsan.
