East Bengal Football Club's supporters couldn't help but cheer their heart out after the team's commanding victory over the Indian Air Force FT in Durand Cup 2025 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. Following their stunning 6-1 victory, East Bengal FC players were seemingly heading towards the crowd for a lap of honour when the crowd screamed 'East Bengal, East Bengal'.

East Bengal Football Club's supporters couldn't help but cheer their heart out after the team's commanding victory over the Indian Air Force FT in Durand Cup 2025 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. Following their stunning 6-1 victory, East Bengal FC players were seemingly heading towards the crowd for a lap of honour when the crowd screamed 'East Bengal, East Bengal'.

Six different breached past the opposition's defenders to find the net for the Red and Gold brigade. Hamid Ahadad opened the scoring for East Bengal by opening the scoring in the 7th minute after Edmund Lalrindika assisted him with a clean cross. The 25th minute saw Bipin Singh make it 2-0 for their side. Although the 36th minute saw the Indian Air Force make the scoreline 2-1, it was all Bengal from that point.

Anwar Ali resumed the goal-scoring for East Bengal after the break and made it 3-1, while Basim Rashid netted the next. Saul Crespo's volley ensured East Bengal went up by 5-1, while David Hmer put the final nail in the coffin to make the scoreline 6-1.

Durand Cup 2025 nears its business end

With East Bengal sealing their spot effectively in the quarter-finals of Durand Cup 2025, it's also worth noting that the football tournament is nearing its business end. The remaining matches are Indian Army FT vs 1 Ladakh FC, NorthEast United FC vs Rangdajied United FC, TRAU FC vs Indian Navy FT and Bodoland FC vs ITBP FT.

The two quarter-finals will take place on August 16 and 17, while the semi-finals are slated to be held on 19 and 20. The final is scheduled for August 23.
