Mumbai: P M Hindu Bath boys and girls scored impressive wins over their respective PSP (Police Swimming Pool) and MGMO (Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Swimming Pool) rivals to emerge champions in the GMAAA-Junior Water polo League championships, at MLWB Swimming Pool at Prabhadevi (Elphinstone Road) recently. Spearheaded by Vaishnav Mahadik, the Hindu Bath outfit dominated from the very first quarter, scoring thrice as they thrashed MGMO 7-1 with Vaishav scoring five of the seven goal. The lone goal for the loser came in the third quarter through Sohan Jadhav. Likewise, the Hindu Bath girls, proved too good for MGMO girls and won 14-3 to clinch under-17 title. Kanishka Naygar was their star performer, top scoring seven goals.

Vaishnav Mahadik and Kanishka Nagar were adjudged the most valuable player in the boys’ and girls’ sections.MCF champions Favourites MCF (Mandpeshwar Civic Federation) juniors blanked out CSMSS (Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Samarak Samiti) 3-0 in their concluding tie to clinch the premier division title Sanwel-MDTTA’s annual Inter-Club Table Tennis League, at Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana Club here. The fabulous trio of juniors led by Chinmay Somiya, Swayam Ibrahampur and ebullient Jash Modi were in irresistible form, and just steamrolled their rivals. Former champions -Andheri YMCA, overcame VPTTA (Vaibhav Pawar TTA) 3-2, to emerge as second best in the premier division.
