London: Argentine winger Angel Di Maria has revealed that he has been forced out of Real Madrid and he did not want a move to Premier League side Manchester United.

Di Maria only completed his British record 60 million pounds move to Old Trafford on Tuesday, prior to United’s 4-0 humbling at MK Dons, but issued a letter to Real fans on Wednesday documenting the circumstances in which he left the European champions.

Di Maria said that he has to go unfortunately, but he added that he wants to make clear that this was never his desire, Metro.co.uk reported.

The winger said that as anyone who works, he has always wanted to progress. He added that after winning ‘La Decima’ he went to the World Cup with the hope of receiving a new contract, which never came.

Di Maria revealed that many things and many lies were spoken. He added that Real always wanted to attribute the initiative to him to leave the club, but did not.

The Argentina International said that the only thing he asked for is something that would be fair, and added that there are many things that he values and many of them have nothing to do with his salary.

He also said that he hopes to progress at United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, where he wishes to make history. Di Maria added that he has been lucky enough to share a dressing room with fantastic players, who have been even better companions.
