The toss at the Arun Jaitley Stadium went in favour of the Gujarat Titans as Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to field first against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. Both sides have made changes, with the Titans bringing back Kagiso Rabada for Gerald Coetzee. Meanwhile, the Capitals have drafted Vipraj Nigam and Mustafizur Rahman for Madhav Tiwari and Mitchell Starc, respectively.

Delhi Capitals will resume their battle for a playoff spot as they face the high-flying Gujarat Titans on May 18, Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. With two matches left for the Capitals, they need to win both to stay in the contention for a playoff spot, with Titans, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru also in the frame.
The Capitals were part of the clash against the Punjab Kings at the Dharamsala Stadium when the match was called off due to a sudden floodlight failure and amid the drone strikes from Pakistan. However, the Capitals were on the back foot in the 10.1 overs bowled by them as Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh had got their side off to an outstanding start after being asked to bat first. With Mitchell Starc not present for the remaining matches, the Capitals find themselves further under pressure.
Meanwhile, the Titans are arguably one of the front runners to reach the playoffs, accumulating eight wins in 11 matches and are on the top of the points table. Their last match before the suspension of the tournament saw them win a last-ball thriller against the Mumbai Indians. With Jos Buttler set to return home after the league phase, the Titans would hope that Kusal Mendis proves to be an able replacement.
