Team India has gone on a two-day break and will resume their training on Wednesday evening as they prepare to take on New Zealand in their final group game of Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on March 2. As per a video shared by news agency PTI, there is also drizzle in Dubai, which might likely have delayed Team India's practice.
Rohit Sharma and co. hammered arch-rivals Pakistan in their second group-stage game of the Champions Trophy by six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. It proved to be their second victory of the edition, having beaten Bangladesh by the same margin at the same venue. With New Zealand also defeating Bangladesh on Monday, India have joined the Kiwis in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli played a central role in Team India's crushing six-wicket victory over Pakistan in Dubai as he scored an unbeaten hundred to ace a run-chase of 242 and the Men in Blue needed only 42.3 overs to do it. In the process, the former Indian skipper became only the third batter to score 14000 ODI runs, joining Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara.
He also became the third-highest run-getter in international cricket, surpassing Ricky Ponting's tally. Moreover, during Pakistan's batting innings, the 36-year-old crossed ex-captain Mohammad Azharuddin's catches tally in ODI cricket as Kohli's is now 157, making it the most number of catches for India in the format.
