England pacer Jofra Archer sent Rishabh Pant's stump cartwheeling on day two of the crucial fourth Test against Team India at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. However, the off-stump stuck on the ground after getting uprooted off the ground as a video of the same surfaced on social media.

Pant, 27, had mesmerized one and all by walking out to bat on day two despite a swollen toe, drawing massive reception from the crowd. Resuming his innings at 37, the southpaw went on to score 54 to lift India to a competitive total of 358. However, the youngster will not keep wickets in this fixture.

Although Pant walking out to bat despite his injury gained the spotlight, Shardul Thakur deserved equal praise for his knock of 41 off 88 deliveries. After Jofra Archer dismissed Ravindra Jadeja for 20 only in his first over of the day, the home side had their tails up but Thakur and Washington Sundar weathered the storm.
Ben Stokes broke the partnership by nicking Thakur to Ben Duckett at slip for 41. It was then that Pant walked out but looked far from comfortable and was limping through his singles. Nevertheless, the players took early lunch on day two due to showers, 10 minutes before the scheduled one.
India had reached 321/6 at lunch but England ended stays of Sundar (27) and Pant (54) after lunch. The tourists were eventually bowled out for 358 as Ben Stokes starred for England by taking a fifer.
