Gujarat Titans welcomed ex-England white-ball skipper Jos Buttler in a regal way to their camp ahead of IPL 2025 as the keeper-batter will gear up for his maiden stint with the franchise. In a video uploaded by the franchise, the Lancashire cricketer had also said the words 'Aava de' at the end of it.

Buttler, who has massive credentials when it comes to T20 cricket, proved to be the most expensive buy for the Titans in the auction as they had shelled out ₹15.75 crore in the auction. Despite finishing as the highest run-getter for the Royals in the 2022 edition and accumulating 3055 runs only in 83 matches for them, the franchise didn't retain him for the 2025 edition.

However, he is now likely to open for the Titans alongside captain Shubman Gill.

"Very Excited. New team for me. I'm excited to meet everyone and get to be a part of the family. Really excited to play with Shubman Gill, we'll see, Superstar of India. Rashid Khan as well, someone who I've admired and struggled against whenever I played against him," Buttler said in the video.

Jos Buttler struggled in the 2025 Champions Trophy

The Englishman's form in the Champions Trophy and the preceding white-ball leg against India wasn't the best. Hence, he will be desperate for runs in IPL 2025

With England losing to Afghanistan, Buttler had stepped down as captain, given the former world champions had been eliminated from the tournament. The competition ended with another crushing defeat against South Africa and they returned home winless.

Although Buttler remains an integral part of England's white-ball plans despite not being captain, he needs runs off his bat to plot the national team's resurgence in the format.
