Rute Cardoso remebered her late husband Diogo Jota by posting a heartbreaking picture on the one-month anniversary of their wedding. Cardoso posted pictures from their wedding in their native Portugal with an emotional message. Alongside several photos from their wedding day, Jota's widow wrote on Instagram: "1 month of our until death do us part". Forever, Your white girl.

The Liverpool star married childhood sweetheart Cardoso in a ceremony in Porto last month but less than two weeks later, the forward and his brother, Andre Silva, died in a car crash on July 3. Rute and Diogo had three kids together, two sons, Denis and Duarte, and his daughter. The couple welcomed their first baby, Dinis in 2021. Later they welcomed daughter who was born in 2023 and a third child who was born in 2024. 

Diogo Jota's Premier League journey

Jota’s journey with Wolves began in 2017, when he joined the club on loan from Atlético Madrid. His arrival marked the beginning of a transformative period for the West Midlands side. Jota quickly became a fan favourite, helping the team secure promotion to the Premier League in his first season. He went on to make 131 appearances in gold and black, netting 44 goals

In 2020, Jota earned a high-profile move to Liverpool for £45 millio. During his stay at Merseyside, Joyta won Champions League, and two Premier League titles before his death. Liverpool, announced that Jota's No.20 shirt would be immediately retired for all levels following talks with his widow and family. The club has also vowed to continue supporting the Portuguese's nearest and dearest after his heartbreaking passing. Wolves on the other hand, inducted Jota into the club's Hall of Fame
