My boyfriend and I recently broke up after being in a relationship for five years. It was mutual, let's say we just fell out of love. But we do not regret being in love or the breakup. Can it be that we were meant to be together for a short while just to fulfil some karmic backlog from previous birth? Or is this half-fulfilled relationship onset of new karmic energy? I have been reading your columns and couldn't help but wonder about this.

If there is no regret, anger or guilt then hallelujah, this Relationship Karma ripened and as you put it, the karmic backlog is settled. However, if deep within you there's any residual regret, anger or guilt, then the cycle continues to the next birth. If you feel this relationship was half fulfilled, that means there is some form of regret, anger and guilt left behind in this Relationship Karma. With some Karma Counselling and Body Memory Therapy, the truth within can be revealed. You can then truly understand the aspect that led you to call the relationship half fulfilled.

Hi, I have always wondered, when we say 'vibe of a person/place' do we mean energy? Are they the same? How can energy or a person or a place affect us? Why does it affect us to the point that we are drawn towards a person, but repelled by some? We feel good when we are in a particular place but are affected by the vastu of another?

Everything is energy. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can be converted into one form or the other. Scientifically, it's called electromagnetic energy. Every atom or sub-atom of this cosmos emits this energy and interacts with the energy radiated by everything else. These interactions further create karmic energies that we tend to absorb, creating the perception of the good, the bad, and the ugly. This creates attraction or repulsion. With people, this is also determined by the Relationship Karma that we have shared with them during different births. The stronger the Relationship Karma, the stronger the attraction or repulsion can be. The vibe of a place is a realignment of this energy. However, Giri Yoga taught me, that if we can make our energy sheath stronger, the impact of other energies is milder.

I am a 60-year-old widow. I led a happy and fulfilled life. Now, I feel it has come to a full circle and I have nothing more to offer. I don't feel depressed and take each day as it comes. I am happy to be surrounded by people who love me. I feel light from within as if I have fulfilled my purpose on earth. Reading your columns makes me wonder if this means I was able to get rid of at least a little karmic baggage?

Getting rid of karmic baggage is a continuous process. The more we do it, the more efficient we become. The karmic baggage is a gift from Shakti. While clearing it, we learn, grow, and evolve. If truly, from within, you feel no fear, anger or guilt that means you have cleared a lot of this baggage. Your soul or psychic being has learnt, grown, and evolved. However, we get new karmic baggage across every birth till our soul or psychic being reaches the state of vibhaav and becomes the Yogi.
