Earlier at the start of 2023, Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran announced, in a surprise post for cinema fans, that he was teaming up with the super-talented Basil Joseph, director of 'Minnal Murali'-turned actor in 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey'.
This exciting announcement was accompanied with the title poster of the film named, 'Guruvayur Ambala Nadayil', where both actors exchanged joy over getting the oportunity to collaborate with each other.
Written by Deepu Pradeep who had earlier helmed Joseph's directorial debut 'Kunjiramayanam', 'Guruvayur Ambala Nadayil' will be directed by Vipin Das of 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey' fame.
On Sunday, Pradeep took to social media to share a picture featuring the crew of the new film, following a script reading session. He captioned the pic saying that shoot will commence on the new film soon.

Touted to be a family entertainer, 'GAN' is centered around a wedding that takes place in the holy town of Guruvayur, Kerala. The film's title has been inspired from a generational, devotional hymn by the same name. For now, details about the actor's roles have been kept under wraps although it's being told that Prithviraj will essay a character with grey shades.
On the technical front, the film will feature Ankit Menon as the music director, Neeraj Revi as the cinematographer and John Kutty as editor.
