A drunken driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed it into a large pit on a busy road in the Manjri area in Pune on Tuesday at around 2 PM.

Bystanders gathered quickly at the scene as the driver, in an intoxicated state, threatened, “Move my car or I will commit suicide.” The tense situation prompted local residents to immediately alert the police.

Upon arrival, police officials contacted the car owner and coordinated with a crane service to safely remove the vehicle. After some effort, the car was successfully pulled out of the pit and the driver was taken into custody.

This incident highlights the ongoing dangers of drunk driving and underscores the importance of responsible behavior behind the wheel. Authorities continue to emphasize strict measures to prevent such accidents and ensure public safety.
