In a shocking incident, two men from Maharashtra's Satara have been arrested by the Thailand Police for allegedly raping a 24-year-old German woman on the Haad Rin beach, Bangkok Post reported.
According to the information received, the two accused have been identified as Vijay Dadasaheb Ghorpade (47) and Rahul Balasaheb Bhoite (40).
Reportedly, the incident occurred in the boulders area of Haad Rin beach at 4:50am on March 14. Following the complaint, the police checked the security footage of the area and found Ghorpade and Bhoite present at the scene. They initially denied the charges.
They were again called for further investigation where Ghorpade confessed to the crime. However, Bhoite denied the charges, saying he simply hugged and kissed the woman on her cheek.

As per the report, the offence carries a jail term of four to 20 years and a fine of between 80,000 baht (approximately Rs 2 lakh) and 400,000 baht (approximately Rs 10 lakh).
