Pune: In a big revelation in rationalist Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case, the CBI on Tuesday said the accused, Sharad Kalaskar, admitted to murdering Dabholkar, along with accused Sachin Andure. The CBI has cited “Forensic Psychological Analysis Statement of Kalaskar. According to the special public prosecutor, Prakash Suryawanshi, the test on Kalaskar was conducted last year.
Kalaskar told psychological experts he, along with Andure, had killed Dabholkar, Suryawanshi said in the court on Tuesday. He added Kalaskar admitted before the forensic experts in June 2018 he met Punalekar and Punalekar ordered him to destroy the weapon used in the murder. The lawyer Sanjeev Punalekar arrested for Dabholkar’s murder has applied for bail before sessions court, while opposing the bail of lawyer Sanjeev Punalekar, CBI has given the reference of the said statement given to agency, the statement is already a part of charge sheet. While opposing the Punalekar’s bail CBI said if Punalekar has been granted a bail he will tamper with the evidence. Last month, the CBI arrested Punalekar and and his assistant Vikram Bhave.
